Technology
Xpresense's patent pending solution employs techniques such as fully integrated tuning, secure transmissions, multi-stage filtering, and adaptive power management.
The WAG Ring is highly sensitive to changes in hand position (such as flexing/extending a finger) and proximity to other certain conductive objects. It transmits data to the Base Unit, via the ultra low duty cycle 900Mhz (ISM) spectrum. The Base Unit provides real-time processing and signaling to connected devices.
Some of the major engineering challenges that the WAG Ring overcomes including the following:
- Long battery life to last through a day-long jam session.
- Ultra reliable communication between the Ring and the Base Unit: filter noise, reject interference within band, strong identification, and signal locking.
- Continuous sensing and transmission, for real-time control.
- Non-invasive sensing and transmission, to coexist with other wireless gear.
- Indoor range of 50 feet or more.
- Achieve all objectives in the form of a finger ring that is comfortable to wear and use.
